Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of narubox™ (“narubox”, “we”, “us”). narubox is available worldwide. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business.

1. What narubox does

narubox is a software subscription. You upload documents about your business. We extract the information in them, structure it, generate a public page describing your business, and supply that structured information to third-party AI assistants — currently ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic) and Gemini (Google) — so those assistants can retrieve accurate information about you when someone asks.

narubox is a digital service only. We do not provide marketing, advertising, legal, tax or professional advice, and we do not act as your agent.

2. What we do not promise

AI systems can also produce information that is wrong, outdated or invented, including about your business, regardless of what we supply to them. That behaviour is inherent to those systems and outside our control.

3. Your account

An account represents one business, held by someone authorised to act for it. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything done through your account. You must verify your email address before you can sign in, and you must be at least 18 years old.

4. Your content and the licence you grant us

Your content stays yours. Uploading documents does not transfer ownership to us.

To operate the service, you grant narubox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, adapt, translate and create derived representations of the content you upload, and to transmit it and those derived representations to the third-party AI services described in section 6, and to publish the parts intended for publication on your company page. This licence exists only so that we can provide the service and ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy or already transmitted to third parties.

You warrant that you own or are licensed to use everything you upload, and that our processing and publication of it will not infringe anyone's rights.

5. What you must not upload

• Content you do not have the rights to use, publish or have processed.
• Other people's personal information — customer lists, employee records, medical or financial data. narubox is for information about your business, not about individuals.
• Credentials, API keys, or anything else confidential that is not meant to be published or given to an AI service.
• False or misleading claims about your business, another business, or a person.
• Unlawful, infringing, defamatory or malicious content, or anything designed to manipulate AI systems deceptively.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches this section.

6. Third-party AI services

Providing the service necessarily means sending your content, or information derived from it, to third parties. Today these include OpenAI, Anthropic and Google for retrieval and generation; Stripe for payments; and our email provider for messages we send you. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Those services may change their features, pricing, access rules or terms, or stop offering a capability, at any time. If that happens we may have to change or withdraw a corresponding part of narubox. We will tell you if a change materially affects what you are paying for.

7. Your public company page

When your documents finish processing we may publish a page about your business on narubox.com. It is built from what you uploaded, and it is public and indexable by search engines and AI systems — that is its purpose. You are responsible for the accuracy of the underlying information. You can ask us to correct or unpublish the page at any time and we will act on it promptly, but we cannot recall copies already retrieved by third parties, search engines or AI systems.

8. AI visibility measurement

Some plans include measurement of how AI assistants answer questions in your category, which we may publish as comparisons or rankings. These are observations of third-party AI output at a point in time, produced automatically. They are not reviews, endorsements, certifications or professional assessments of any business, ours included, and they will change as those systems change. We do not sell placement in these results.

9. Plans, billing and cancellation

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Plan limits — document volume, number of AI assistants, refresh frequency — are shown on our pricing page and may be adjusted with notice for future billing periods.
• You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation does not end the subscription immediately: it takes effect one month after your billing date, not from the date of cancellation, and the end date does not move when you cancel. Throughout that month the subscription continues in full — your public page remains published and the scheduled communication with AI assistants about your business continues. After that date the subscription does not renew and no further charge is made.
• Refunds. A refund of your most recent payment is available in full at any time before drafting has been run on your account. Drafting is initiated only by you. Once drafting has been run, that payment is non-refundable in whole or in part, including where the subscription is subsequently cancelled. This does not affect any refund required by law, or one we offer where we have failed to provide the service for an extended period.
• Taxes, where applicable, are added to the amounts shown.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep narubox available and improving, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may add, change or remove features. Processing times depend in part on the third-party services described in section 6.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using narubox and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where non-payment persists. On termination we stop processing and, on request, delete your content as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, narubox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost data, or reputational harm — including any arising from what an AI assistant does or does not say about your business.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the narrowest permitted limitation applies.

You agree to indemnify narubox against claims arising from content you uploaded, from your breach of these terms, or from your infringement of another party's rights.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that venue.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect; continuing to use narubox after that means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top shows the current version.
